Uses of Eucalyptus Smithii Essential oil

  • Arthritis: reduce pain and inflammation due to its ant-inflammatory properties. Dilute 2-3 drops in a carrier oil and apply to affected areas.

  • Colds, bronchitis, asthma, and sinusitis. Eucalyptus oil vapour can act as a decongestant when inhaled. Add4-5 drops to a diffuser or add 2-3 drops in bowl of boiling water and inhale steam. Dilute 2-3 drops in a carrier oil and rub on chest and neck or add 1-2 drops to bath water.

  • Cold sores: due to its anti-inflammatory properties ease symptoms and speed up healing. Dilute 1-2 drops into a carrier oil and dab onto affected area.

  • Dental health: actively fights bacteria that cause tooth decay and periodontitis (gum disease) and causes mouth odour. Put 1 drop onto your toothbrush, add toothpaste and brush as usual and spit out. Do not swallow.

  • Fungal skin infections: Add 1-2 drops eucalyptus oil to a carrier oil, and treat the infected skin

  • Hair: stimulates the scalp, fights dandruff and improves hair elasticity. Add 1 drop to 1 teaspoon shampoo and wash your hair as normal.

  • Insect repellent and insecticide: Also kills mites and ticks. Add ¼ teaspoon Eucalyptus citriodora oil to 1 cup of water in a spray bottle and shake vigorously. Spray everywhere where insects have been seen. Shake regularly while using.

  • Relaxes: Place 2 drops Eucalyptus oil directly on the shower floor while you are showering. The steam will create a natural diffuser for the Eucalyptus oil, leaving you with a clear, invigorated feeling.

  • Tension: place a drop of Eucalyptus oil into your hands, cup your hands over your nose, and inhale deeply.

CAUTION: DO NOT USE DURING PREGNANCY OR ON INFANTS. KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN. DO NOT TAKE INTERNALLY OR UNDILUTED.
